Are you confused by the Knowledge text in the Health Service Heartbeat Failure alert in SCOM you aren’t alone. If I didn’t work with SCOM everyday, I wouldn’t have a clue as to what was meant by …navigate to the “State Change Events” tab.

To get to the “State Change Events” tab, right click on the alert and select Open | Health Explorer. In Health Explorer, select the Health Service Heartbeat Failure alert that is in a critical state and on the right hand side of the Health Explorer dialog box, select the State Change Events tab. Scroll down in the details section in the lower left hand corner and you will find the recovery Restart Health Service.
