From time to time, I am asked if a given operating system or application is support in SCOM and I always look to the official support statement to provide the answer. This can be found at http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb309428.aspx. This doesn't mean that the operating system or application will not work if it's not on this list, simply that it is not supported which is something to be mindful of when planning your SCOM architecture.
